Do you have to be 21 years old to visit the Frankenmuth Brewery?
No. Guests of all ages are welcome to the Frankenmuth Brewery. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase or sample alcoholic beverages. Families visit often, and children’s menus are available.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. You can reserve a table for 2 to 12 guests through the reservation link on our website. Most seating is available for walk-ins, so if your preferred time isn’t open, come by and we’ll add you to the waitlist. You’ll get a text when your table is ready.
For Large Groups of 13 or more, fill out the Large Group reservation form on the Reservations page and we will get back to you about availability for your requested date and time.
Is the restaurant handicap accessible?
Yes. The Frankenmuth Brewery is fully handicap accessible. The main dining room, bar area, restrooms, and entrance all accommodate wheelchairs and mobility devices. Our team is happy to assist guests who need extra help getting seated or accessing specific areas of the restaurant.
Can I bring my dog into the brewery?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside brewery or the patio. Local health codes don’t allow dogs inside the brewery or on the patio. Service animals are always welcome.
What are your restaurant hours?
Restaurant and bar hours vary depending on the time of year and may vary on holidays and during winter months. Visit the website or Google listing for current hours.
Where can I park to visit the Frankenmuth Brewery?
On-site parking is limited but additional free parking is available behind the Fairfield Inn (accessible off Tuscola St.) and behind the Frankenmuth District Library (accessible from both Main St. and S. Franklin St.). Both lots are short walks to the Frankenmuth Brewery.
Who can I speak to about booking a wedding or event at the River View?
Contact our Events Team through the Banquets & Events page or email events@frankenmuthbrewery.com. The River View banquet facility offers space for weddings, receptions, and private parties overlooking the Cass River.
What time of the year is the patio open?
The outdoor patio typically opens in early May and remains open through mid-October, depending on weather. It features full dining service and river views.
Do you sell cases, six packs and kegs of beer for customers to buy and take home?
Yes. You can purchase select Frankenmuth Brewery beers in six-packs, cases, and limited kegs to take home. Six-packs and cases are available in the cooler inside the brewery’s retail store, where you’ll often find seasonal or specialty releases. Limited kegs are available for pickup based on beer availability. Call ahead to confirm which styles are in stock and to arrange pickup.
The brewery also hosts occasional case sale events with discounted pricing. Follow Frankenmuth Brewery’s Facebook page or sign up for the brewery’s emails to hear about upcoming sales and availability.
Can I buy Frankenmuth beer online and have it shipped?
No, you cannot buy beer online from the Frankenmuth Brewery and have it shipped to your home within the state because Michigan law restricts direct-to-consumer shipping of beer by breweries. While some breweries may have online shops, they can’t ship beer directly to Michigan customers due to these regulations.
You can only purchase six-packs, cases, and limited kegs in person at the brewery. The online store is limited to merchandise, apparel, and gift cards.
I want to buy Frankenmuth Brewery shirts as a gift. Do you have an online store?
Yes. Visit the Swag Shop page on our website to browse apparel, hats, and gift items. Gift cards are also available online or at the front desk.
How often do you change the beers on tap?
At Frankenmuth Brewery, we always have year-round favorites and rotating seasonal or limited releases on draft. Alongside our flagship beers, we rotate about 20 to 30 seasonal or special-edition brews throughout the year.
